Earth Day, Beloved Community Collaboration

April 29, 2023 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

*Due to rain in the forecast, our April 22nd Earth Day event has been rescheduled to April 29th.*

The event was founded by Micah 6 Community, and this year, Habitat Oakland is excited to join the initiative to showcase a collaborative spirit to advance complementary missions. Micah 6 Community and Habitat Oakland both participate in the Beloved Community Coalition, which is grounded in the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and seeks to build a communal table where nonprofits can share their needs and resources to create more diverse and inclusive volunteer opportunities.  

Snacks and water will be provided, but feel free to bring gloves, rakes, or flathead shovels.

Volunteers meet at Indian Village Park (put 780 w Huron into your GPS).  You can register to volunteer on Habitat’s volunteer database.  Email  volunteer@habitatoakland.org for any questions.
